APPROACH
After years of vacancy, the Backer+Rueb area is picking up steam again; there is fertile ground and oxygen for the development of a new lively
piece of Breda. As for the history of this area – where design, craftsmanship and fun have intersected for decades we were closely involved in branding and communication of this development by Amvest.
The industrial heritage of the area we captured in the logo and the ‘plus’ from the identity is the start off the framwork and functions as a building block of Backer+Rueb. The plus sign communicates ‘an addition’. An addition for Breda, growth, development and expansion, not individually but together in a community.
Backer + Rueb is a new development in Breda. This new district will rise northwest of the central station and will combine living and working, gaining inspiration and living life to the fullest.
Our journey with the brand began from the initial pitch, extending through crafting its visual identity and communication strategy. We curated various print materials, including a 140-page 'development vision' booklet, along with journals, signage, stationary, brochures, and on-site materials, each designed to resonate with the brand's essence and vision.
